Brady Bilyeu and Dylan Edmonson led UHA boys’ tennis at the regional tournament at Henderson County Monday night, notching two wins to sail into Tuesday night’s semifinal. Bilyeu and Edmonson were one of two Blazer teams to pick up wins on Monday night, while the lone singles player, Rohan Desai, fell in his opener.
The team of Ethan Alexander and Riley Simmons topped Hoptown’s Zach Moore and Ethan Bailey 6-0, 6-2, before seeing their run come to an end with a quarterfinal loss to Henderson’s Hayden Sauer and Bryce Dhom.
Bilyeu and Edmonson took out Christian County’s Robert Falvey and Dylan Greenfield 6-1, 6-1 in their opener and advanced to the semis with a 6-1, 6-1 result over Hopkinsville’s Hayden Woosley and Maxwell Bauserman. They will face Caldwell County’s Shelton Cansler and Jordan Hammett on Tuesday night with a spot in the region final on the line.
In singles play, Rohan Desai pushed top-seeded Jon Nunez of Henderson in the opening round, ultimately falling 2-6, 3-6.
