Mother Nature might have been the #1 on the Super 7 for the week, knocking out a bunch of games late last week. What action we did see on the field actually changed nothing this week in the Super 7, as everyone stays right where they were last week. There may be a little separation between the top three and the rest of the list, but it is not a gaping hole. Another interesting week coming up across the area.

Webster County (17-4) – The Lady Trojans only got to play a doubleheader with a very good Castle team. Webster won one and lost one. Good enough to hang at #1 for another week. Some big games and return matchups are looming on the horizon.

Christian County (17-3) – The Lady Colonels picked up a very nice win over Central Hardin last weekend. Then, they went on the road and thumped Apollo. Team looks to be getting its postseason form in order here late in the regular season.

Henderson County (16-2) – The northern Lady Colonels only got in one game over the past week, and that was a 6-0 6th District win over Union County. A tough stretch ahead, with games against Castle, Memorial, Caldwell County, and Christian County. This team will test its mettle in the days ahead.

Madisonville (9-7) – District wins over Hopkins Central and Caldwell County may have helped to stabilize things for the time being for the Lady Maroons. They are really busy over the next several days, including tough ones against McCracken, Marshall, and round two against Webster County.

Lyon County (15-7) – The Lady Lyons are punishing the ball right now, and they just laid beatdowns on Murray and Livingston Central. Will be fun to see how one of the hottest teams around fares this weekend at the All A Classic state tournament in Owensboro.

Caldwell County (8-10) – The Lady Tigers had a chance once again to knock off the Lady Maroons, outhitting them, but still falling 3-1. A return match with Henderson should tell us more, and look ahead for a big one with Lyon County coming up that will tell us more about both teams.

Trigg County (11-11) – The Lady Wildcats may have closed the door for anyone else getting into the Super 7 for the rest of the season. Big district wins over Livingston and Crittenden may have cemented this week’s Super 7 as the teams that will be there the rest of the way out. The Lady Wildcats have their big shot coming up April 29, when they take on Christian County.
