
Hopkinsville was held to just one base hit as Logan County claimed an 18-0 victory in four innings in softball action on Thursday.
The Lady Cougars (15-3) greeted Hoptown with five runs in the top of the first inning. Six-run frames in both the third and fourth innings helped Logan put the game away quickly.
A leadoff single by Nadia Clayton in the bottom of the second inning was the only base hits for the Lady Tigers, who are now 9-12.
Logan pitcher Abby Hinton threw just 32 pitches while picking up the win.
Shelby Gettings was 4-for-4 at the plate, with a double, a home run and six runs batted in to lead the Logan offense. Brea Croslin was 3-for-3 with a triple and an RBI.
