Hopkinsville’s Jayla Rose joined Lady Tiger teammate Breon Oldham in signing to attend and continue her basketball career at Shawnee Community College in Ullin, IL at a ceremony at HHS on Friday. The Lady Saints compete in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference in the NJCAA and posted a 2-26-1 record last season, 1-14 in conference play.
Rose was second in scoring and rebounding as a senior with 15.0 and 7.3, and helped lead the Lady Tigers to a 17-16 record. Rose sustained a concussion in the 8th-District double-OT, title-game loss to Christian County, and was forced to miss the Lady Tigers’ season-ending loss to Madisonville-North Hopkins in the 2nd-Region tournament.
