Caldwell County finished its trip to the Warren County Invitational on Friday with a walk-off win over Anderson County.
Cody Holub reached on an error to start the bottom of the seventh inning. He later came in to score on a wild pitch as the Tigers beat Anderson 5-4. That gave Caldwell a 2-2 record in Bowling Green.
Holub also earned the win on the mound, pitching the last two innings in relief of starter John Davis.
The Tigers (5-6) overcame a 4-2 deficit to post the win.
Caldwell trailed 2-0 after one inning, but tied the game in the bottom of the seventh. Levin East drew a bases-loaded walk, then another run came in on a ground ball to second by Gabe East.
The Bearcats (1-10) went back in front 4-2 with a pair of runs in the top of the third.
Caldwell got one of those runs back in the bottom of the third when Holub doubled and scored a sacrifice fly to center by Davis. That made it 4-3.
Caldwell tied the game in the fifth on an unearned run. Tate VanHooser doubled to start the inning. He scored with two outs when Davis reached base on an error following a ground ball to third.
The game remained 4-4 until the Tigers pulled out the win in their final at-bat.
Gabe East was 2-for-4 with an RBI to help lead the Caldwell offense.
Davis pitched the first five innings, allowing three earned runs on three base hits. He fanned four and walked three. Holub surrendered just one hit while striking out two and walking two over the final two innings.
