Hopkinsville junior Xavier Bussell exceled on the soccer field during his junior season and has now directed his talents to the track for the first time.
Bussell allowed just 1.1 goals per game in helping lead the Tiger soccer team to the state semifinals for the first time in school history.
After soccer season, Bussell turned his attention to the track where he finished second in the 400 meters and third in the 200 meters at the highly competitive Invitational of the South March 23. As he did on the big stage in soccer, Bussell has high goals set for his first track season and is hoping his hard work shows up on the leaderboard.
