Trigg County and Graves County played to a 7-7 seven-inning tie Friday in the final preseason scrimmage for the Wildcats.
Trigg jumped ahead 5-1 before the Eagles rallied to knot the game at 5-5. Trigg took a 6-5 lead in the sixth inning when Trevor Cortner scored on a stolen base and throwing error.
Graves scored twice in the seventh before Trigg tied the game on a double by Arlon Butts and a fielder’s choice by Jude Hunter that plated the tying run.
Both teams have some holes to fill in 2019. The Wildcats were 19-12 last year and advanced to the Second Region semifinals. Graves County was 23-9 and lost to Calloway County in the First Region first round.
Trigg County will host Russellville Tuesday in their season opener at the Complex.
