Madisonville junior Kenny White was named to the Whitaker Bank/KHSAA Boys’ Sweet 16 All-Tournament Team Sunday at Rupp Arena.
The junior swingman was the top scorer in the tournament, averaging 24 points in his two games. He was also tied for fifth in the tournament at nine rebounds per game and second in blocked shots (4.0).
His 27 points against Warren Central in the quarterfinals were second-most in the tourney, and his 11 field goals in the same game were tied for the most by any player.
David Johnson of state champion Trinity was named the tournament MVP. Trinity beat Scott County 50-40 Sunday afternoon for the state title.
