Former Caldwell County High School and University of Alabama star Emma Talley has slipped to 36th place in the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore.
Talley carded a 3-over-par 75 in the third round on Saturday and now stands at 2-over through 54 holes.
Talley got off to a good start in the third round with a birdie on No. 1. But it would be her only birdie of the day.
Four bogeys pushed her to 3-over for the round.
Talley owned a share of the lead for part of the first round on Thursday before finishing at 2-under 70. She carded a 1-over 73 in the second round on Friday.
At 2-over, Talley is 13 shots behind leader Ariya Jutanugarn, who is 11-under entering the final round. Minjee Lee is one shot back in second while Jodi Ewart Shadoff is alone in third place at 9-under.
Talley still has much to play for in the final round. A Top 20 finish in that event last year netted just over $20,000.
Talley will tee off in the final round at 8:39 a.m. Sunday morning in Singapore. Because of the 14-hour time difference, that is 6:39 p.m. Central Standard Time on Saturday night.
