The Lyon County girls’ basketball team gave Christian County all it wanted in Thursday night’s 2nd Region quarterfinal, trailing by a single point late in the third quarter before falling 50-39 to the Lady Colonels. A big reason for for the tight contest was the Lady Lyons’ rebounding performance, as they were only out-rebounded 42-41 by the bigger Lady Colonels.
After the game, the Lady Lyons’ lone senior Allison Murphy talked about her first-half foul trouble, and the game plan for dealing with the Lady Colonels.
