Things got interesting in the final eight minutes, but Heritage Christian Academy had enough in the tank to hold off Franklin Road Christian School 67-60 on Senior Night Tuesday at Warrior Gym.
HCA roared out to a 23-6 lead after one quarter and coasted into halftime with a 44-21 lead. The Warriors were up 58-32 after three quarters before Franklin Road began a comeback. The Murfreesboro, Tenn. school outscored HCA 28-9 in the fourth quarter.
Gavin Fowler scored all 16 of his team-high 16 points in the first half. Dalton Folz added 15 points, and Dakota Brake added 10 points.
Heritage Christian Academy closes out the regular season with a record of 18-9. The Warriors will host Bethel Christian Saturday at 11:30 in a KCAA Region One contest. A win puts HCA in the 6pm championship game against Oak Ridge Christian.
