
Postseason basketball for the Todd County Lady Rebels came to a quick close on Monday night as they fell to the Logan County Lady Cougars, 72-42. After finishing the regular season with a 4-19 record, the Lady Rebels drew a matchup with the Lady Cougars for the first game of the 13th District Tournament.
Ending their season as the team’s high-scorer was veteran forward Emoni Forte, who scored 12 points on Monday night. Her teammate, senior guard Amy Brumfield, scored 10 points in the final game of her career.
Leading the way for Logan County was Sarah Beth Hale, scoring a game-high 19 points.
The Lady Cougars will advance to the 13th District championship game, scheduled Friday night at Todd County Central high school. Logan County is slated to play the winner of Franklin-Simpson and Russellville.
