A key member of Christian County’s offensive line will take his talents to Campbellsville University where he hopes his hard work will translate the same way it did in high school.
Adrian Ybarra put pen to paper and made his decision official Tuesday afternoon at the school. The 6-0, 235-pound lineman was a three-year letterman for the Colonels and was named All-Western Kentucky Conference at center this past season.
Ybarra and his offensive line mates helped the Colonels rush for 1,587 yards in 2018 and average 218 yards on offense. He was named the 2018 Colonel Lineman of the Year.
During his four-year career, Christian County went 33-15.
He says Campbellsville assistant coach Ricky Gehres, a former standout at Hopkinsville High, was instrumental in his recruiting process. Campbellsville was 4-6 last year with five of their losses coming to teams ranked in the NAIA Top 25.
