Ahead 18-8 at halftime, Lyon County scored nearly that many in the third quarter alone as they coasted to a 52-16 win over St. Mary Tuesday in Eddyville.
The Lady Lyons used a 19-6 third quarter run to build a 37-14 lead heading into the final frame.
Calista Collins scored six of her 13 points in the decisive third quarter. She also had five rebounds. Cathryn Brown scored 11 points, and Gracen Wynn added seven points off the bench.
Allison Murphy scored six points and grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds for the Lady Lyons.
St. Mary (10-18) was held to single digits in each quarter for a second straight game. They hit just 5-of-34 shots (15%), while Lyon County hit 23-of-59 (39%). It was the fourth time this year Lyon has held an opponent to under 20 points.
Lyon County (13-10) has won six of seven games and will host Hopkins County Central Thursday for Senior Night at Jason White Gymnasium.
