Former Caldwell County Lady Tiger Lele Rodgers had a double-double on Saturday for Brescia University.
Rodgers, a senior guard, netted 14 points and 10 rebounds, but the Lady Bearcats fell to Alice Lloyd College 86-79 in Owensboro.
Rodgers is second on Caldwell’s career scoring list with 1,682 points as a Lady Tiger.
She has scored in double figures in seven of Brescia’s last eight games, including two 19-point performances during that time. Rodgers had a season-high 25 points in a win over St. Mary of the Woods (Ind.) on Dec. 22.
Rodgers is now averaging 11 points and 4.2 rebounds a game for Brescia, which is now 8-16.
Her head coach at Brescia is former Caldwell County Tiger standout Mike Gray. Gray is third on the Tigers’ all-time scoring list with 2,406 points.
The Lady Bearcats will next host Midway, Ky. on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
