
Dawson Springs began the game with a 23-1 run and went on to defeat Frederick Fraize 61-41 Saturday in a game that saw senior Erin Orten score her 1,000th career point.

Orten scored eight points in the first quarter, with her fourth bucket putting her over the 1K mark for her career. She finished the game with a team-high 18 points.
Dawson Springs kept the margin around 20 points for most of the game, leading 31-10 at halftime and 48-19 after three quarters.
Brooklyn Clark knocked home three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points, while Denisha Randolph hit a trio of threes for the second straight game. She finished with 11 points.
Olivia Weatherholt led Frederick Fraize (5-19) with 18 points.
The win continued a win-loss pattern for the Lady Panthers (9-13) over the last eight games. They will try and snap the streak with a second straight win Monday at Trigg County.
