Tuesday night’s home game against Ohio County saw the struggles of the Todd County Lady Rebels continue. The Lady Rebels lost their fourth straight outing by a narrow defeat of 47-40.
Todd County was neck-and-neck with Ohio County early, trailing just 20-18 at the half. However, a 14-7 third quarter put the Lady Eagles up 34-25 for a controlling lead that they’d hold until the buzzer sounded.
Veteran guards Amy Brumfield and Jordan Weathers led the way offensively, scoring 15 and 11 points respectively. No other Lady Rebel managed double-digits for the game.
For Ohio County, it was a one-woman wrecking crew as Heaven Vanover scored a game-high 19 points. She was the only Lady Eagle in double-figure scoring.
The loss comes as Todd County’s 15th this season, bringing their record to 3-15. Their remaining slate for the regular season includes six games, four home and two away. On deck will be another home matchup, this time against Logan County on Thursday night. Tip-off is set for 6 P.M.
