
University Heights Academy senior Kyky Tandy was named MPV of the All-A Classic State Tournament after helping lead the Blazers to the state title. Tandy scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Blazers’ 52-40 championship win over Lexington Christian Sunday
For the tournament, Tandy averaged 22.7 points, 7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in the four Blazer wins in Richmond.
Also named to the All-Tournament Team from UHA were Taquan Hollowell, who averaged 12.2 points and 7.2 rebounds; Drew McGowan, who scored 11.2 points and grabbed 7 rebounds; and Will Bryan, who averaged 6.2 points, 3.5 points, and 2.2 steals in the tournament.
Other players named to the All-Tournament Team were Pearce Dalton, Will Hacker, and Kyle Rode of Lexington Christian; Connor Guthrie of Mayfield; Tahj Harding of Newport; Dieonte Mills and Kameron Pardee of Walton-Verona; and Cody Potter and Cameron Worrix of Shelby Valley.
