While UHA has been dominant on the boys’ side of the 2nd Region All A tournament, there has been no such situation on the girls’ side of things. Since the All A tournament began in 1991, nine different schools have won the girls’ 2nd Region All A tournament and advanced to Richmond.

All four of the teams playing in the semifinals Thursday night have made the trip to the All A state tournament at least once.

Livingston Central has the fewest All A regional tournament wins with one. The Lady Cardinals won their only regional title in 2016. Dawson Springs has won the regional tournament three times, the last coming in 2003. UHA has advanced to the All A State three times as well, in 2012, 2014, and 2015.

Crittenden County is tied for the most 2nd Region All A championships with six, the last coming in 2017. Webster County also has six titles, but the Lady Trojans are currently not eligible to compete in the All A Classic.

Of the four teams playing for the trip to Richmond, Crittenden County and UHA have wins at the state tournament. Both have won one game and advanced to the quarterfinal round, Crittenden in 2017 and UHA in 2014.

No 2nd Region team has ever won the girls All A state tournament. West Hopkins reached the finals in 1991 and Webster County reached the finals in 1993.
