Enjoyment of the weekend will have to wait for the Todd County Lady Rebels. The Lady Rebels suffered a 73-36 blowout loss to the Logan County Lady Cougars, their eighth consecutive defeat of the 2018-2019 season.
Senior guard Amy Brumfield led the way with 13 points, as she was the only Lady Rebel to score in double figures. The next highest scorer was fellow senior Paige Rager, accounting for six of the team’s total of 36 points.
On the flip side, Paige Vanzant led all scorers with 18 points. Logan County’s Addie White (13) and Sarah Beth Hale (11) also contributed by scoring in double figures.
The Lady Cougars saw 11 players score the basketball, compared to just seven for the Lady Rebels.
Todd County Central falls to 2-11 on the year, while Logan County moves to 10-3.
Todd County will play either Russellville or Cumberland County in the semifinals of the Fourth Region All-A Classic Thursday in Elkton.
