After beating Murray High comfortably in the first game of the season, the University Heights Academy boys’ basketball team found itself facing a double-digit halftime deficit in Sunday’s rematch. However, Kyky Tandy and Drew McGowan provided the second-half offense, and the Blazers tightened the screws defensively to pull out a 77-66 win at Mustang Madness at McCracken County High School.
Afterward, Coach Grant Shouse discussed his team’s slow start and what led to the 20-point second-half turnaround.
