On a night when neither team could generate much offense, the Todd County Central Rebels fell 47-37 on the road at Franklin-Simpson. The Rebels lost leading scorer Jon Calvery early in the game after he caught an errant elbow, dropping their fifth out of the last six to slip to 5-11 overall. Franklin-Simpson claims its third-straight victory to move to 7-7.
Neither team scored in double figures in the first two quarters, with the Wildcats taking a slim 16-14 lead into halftime.
DeMarco Chapman scored 6 in the third quarter to help Franklin-Simpson stretch the lead to 7 at 29-22.
The Rebels began to find the range over the final 8 minutes, with Austin Rager scoring 6 and Deonte Toliver adding 5. However, Dayveon Harris scored 4 for the Wildcats to help seal the 10-point victory.
Todd County returns to the court on Saturday when Glasgow comes to Elkton for a boy/girl doubleheader.
