Thomas Nelson used a 24-10 third quarter run to take command of their game with Dawson Springs and hand the Panthers a 93-60 setback in the second round of the Williamstown Holiday Tournament Friday.
Dawson Springs trailed 24-17 after one quarter and 47-33 at halftime before Thomas Nelson used their game-deciding run to put the game away.
Skylar Clark led the Panthers with 13 points, and Kolby Williams added 11 points. Ethan Huddleston hit 6-of-10 at the free throw line to finish with eight points.
Thomas Nelson (8-4), of the Fifth Region, got 20 points from Austin Dickerson.
The teams combined for 60 free throws. Dawson Springs hit 18-of-29 at the line, and Thomas Nelson hit 22-of-31.
Dawson Springs (5-6) will play Nicholas County (3-8) in the third place game Saturday.
