Both Trigg County and Lyon County will be playing in the Community Christian Academy Christmas Tournament that begins Thursday in Paducah.
The Lady Wildcats will play Fulton County Thursday night at 6:30. The Lady Wildcats (4-8) did not play in a pre-Christmas event but did win their last outing 66-33 over St. Mary Dec. 20.
Fulton County (2-4) hasn’t played since a 68-47 loss to Humboldt, Tenn. Dec. 17. The Lady Pilots have only played one Kentucky school so far – a 57-37 win over Christian Fellowship.
The winner will play Mayfield (5-4) Friday at 5pm. The loser will play Friday at 8pm against the loser of Pope County, Ill. (5-5) and Carlisle County (8-1).
Meanwhile, Lyon County begins play Friday afternoon at 2:00 against the winner of Pope County and Carlisle County. If the Lady Lyons win, they play Saturday at noon against either Mayfield, Fulton County, or Trigg County. If they lose the Friday afternoon game, they will play Saturday at 2:30.
There are 11 teams in the field, with the fifth place, third place, and championship game slated for Saturday night at CCA.
