
Colin Stevens took second place at the Toyota of Hopkinsville Christian County Invitational Saturday. In a possible preview at both region and state, Stevens lost to Union County’s Micah Ervin 6-3 in the championship match.
Stevens, who finished third at state in the 160-pound class last year, is making the move to 170 pounds this year. Ervin finished runner-up at state in the 170-pound class last year.
In the latest statewide rankings by Kentuckywrestling.com, Ervin is ranked No. 1 and Stevens No. 2.
Stevens was the only Trigg County wrestler to place in the event, garnering 24 points. Trigg finished 16th in the team competition.
