The Fort Campbell Falcons dropped their third-straight game since an opening-night victory with an 81-51 loss to Webster County on Friday night at the Messenger Tip-Off Classic at Madisonville-North Hopkins. The Trojans improve to 4-1 on the season.
Doryan Hall scored 7 points in the opening quarter for the Falcons, but Webster County took a 26-17 lead behind 6 points from Malachai Douglas and 5 each from Jaylen Burnhill and Destin Allen. Cameron Johnson got going for the Falcons with 7 second-quarter points, but Douglas added 4 more to help the Trojans to 39-29 halftime lead.
Webster County blew the game open in the third quarter, outscoring the Falcons 21-7. Douglas kept the hot hand after halftime, joining Grant Turner with 6 in the frame for a 60-36 advantage.
Tyler Camplin took his turn for the Trojans in the final quarter, scoring 9 of his 11 second-half points. Dutch Arnold and Isaiah Blyden each scored 4 for the Falcons, but they were outscored 21-15 for the final 30-point margin.
Johnson’s 12 led Fort Campbell, followed by Hall with 10. Webster’s Douglas led all scorers with 18, while Camplin finished with 16.
