Frank Johnson’s Todd County Central Rebels have started the basketball season against a gauntlet of a schedule. The Rebels started 0-4 with losses to four teams that were a combined 15-2.
They faced 4-1 East Robertson, Tenn. Tuesday in Elkton and came away with a 57-55 decision for their first win of the 2018-19 season.
The schedule eases up a bit for the Rebels, although two of their next three games are against district opponents. Todd County will travel to Russellville. They swept all three games with the Panthers last year.
After a Tuesday road trip to South Warren, the Rebels will return home for a district contest with Logan County on Dec. 14.
