Problems putting the ball in the basket continued to plague the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers Tuesday night. The Lady Tigers were held to just 38 points as they lost for the first time on the season on the road at Murray, 49-38.
The cold shooting bug bit Hopkinsville right out of the gate. Murray limited the Lady Tigers to just four points in the opening quarter as Murray took a 13-4 lead.
Hopkinsville’s offense got some things going in the 2nd quarter, but could not make any headway. Murray would hold a 27-17 lead at the break.
In the second half, Murray continued to hold the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers at bay. Hopkinsville could only trim one point off the lead, as Murray entered the final quarter up 37-28.
Not much changed in the 4th quarter as Murray continued to hold the lead throughout and inched out to the final 11 point margin at 49-38.
Hopkinsville falls to 4-1 on the season. The Lady Tigers return to action Saturday afternoon when they host Union County.
