Trigg County started slow and ended strong in their first girls’ basketball scrimmage of the 2018-19 season Thursday. Ballard Memorial outscored Trigg County in the first two quarters, and Trigg won the last two. The third quarter was a 7-7 tie. Trigg lost the first two quarters by scores of 9-6 and 11-6. They won the final two quarters 20-8 and 20-6.
Adri Phillips had 15 points and seven rebounds in the scrimmage for Trigg County, while Rylee Bush added 15 points and four rebounds.
Marleigh Reynolds scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds, and Emily Noffsinger scored six points.
Trigg County’s final preseason scrimmage will be Tuesday at Wildcat Gym against Hopkins County Central.
