A Trigg County mother has been named the October Sports Mom of the Month by YourSportsEdge.com.
Wendy Ahart, a bookkeeper at Trigg County High School and who has had two sons play sports at TCHS, was selected among the online entries. She is also a former standout for the Lady Wildcat basketball team.
“She has always been very supportive of both boys in whatever sport they played. She was also a very good basketball player and never lets the boys forget it on the court,” the nomination said.
Wendy’s son Nick is a 2018 graduate of Trigg County and started on the baseball team. Tyler is a freshman who plays on both the Wildcat basketball and baseball teams.
The Sports Mom of the Month is sponsored by the Magnolia Too Boutique in Hopkinsville. Each winner will receive a $25 gift card to Save More Drugs in Hopkinsville and Adams Breezy Hill Farm Restaurant and Mercantile. Wendy is now eligible to win ‘Sports Mom of the Year’ to be announced in the summer.
