Heritage Christian Academy begins their quest for their first-ever KCAA State Soccer title Tuesday when they play a quarterfinal match at Highlands Latin in Louisville.
The teams did not meet during the regular season, with Highlands winning both matches last year. It’s the first time HCA and Highlands have met in the KCAA State Tournament.
Highlands was 9-3 in conference play in getting the No. 4 seed in the KCAA State Tournament. Heritage Christian was 3-5-1 in conference play and enters the tournament as the No. 5 seed.
The winner of Tuesday’s game advances to the KCAA State Semifinals at the Elizabethtown Sports Park Thursday where they would play either Cornerstone or seven-time defending state champion and top seed Somerset Christian.
