Class 5A, Region 1 appears to have the most clear-cut playoff picture of the six classes in the region. Following Friday’s loss to Graves County, Christian County will be the No. 3 seed and travel in the first round of the playoffs.
The winner of Friday’s Owensboro/Graves County game will be the No. 1 seed with the loser set at No. 2.
The winner of Friday’s Apollo/Marshall County game will be the No. 4 seed, and the loser is out of the postseason.
In District 2, the winner of Friday’s Bowling Green/South Warren game will be the No. 1 seed. The loser will be the No. 2 seed and host Christian County in the first round.
Grayson County is already slotted in as the No. 3 seed, and Greenwood is the No. 4 seed. Barren County opted out of district play for 2018 and will not be eligible for the postseason.
Christian County closes out their regular season against Madisonville (Oct. 19) and Paducah Tilghman (Oct. 26).
