A former Caldwell County Tiger was a big part of a big homecoming day win for the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders. The No. 7-ranked Lindsey Wilson football team defeated Cincinnati Christian 73-0 during their 2018 Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division home opener. The Blue Raider defense produced the program’s second ever shutout during the game, the first coming against Cincinnati Christian during the 2016 campaign.
The Blue Raider offense was firing on all cylinders as they produced 538-yards of total offense with 221-yards coming on the ground and 317 coming via the air. The Lindsey Wilson defense held the Eagles to just 165 yards, limiting CCU to just 35 rushing yards and 130 yards through the air. The defense combined for two interceptions, one fumble recovery as well as one blocked punt and one blocked field goal.
Jaylen Boyd scored a career-high three rushing touchdowns as he added his first ever 100-yard game after rushing for exactly 100-yards. Cameron Dukes completed 13-of-22 passes for 232-yards and one touchdown as Tre Dickerson had three receptions for 65-yards.
