After being postponed twice, Todd County Central’s Austin Rager finally had the chance to take to the course for the 4th Region Boys golf tournament Friday at the Franklin Country Club. Rainy weather had forced officials to delay the tournament on Tuesday, and again on Thursday.
When he finally got to play the course Friday, Rager ended up shooting an eleven over par 81 for his round. The score placed him in 14th place for the tournament, missing out on a berth in the boys state tournament.
Rager shot a three over 39 on the front nine, and an eight over 42 on the back nine. He had two birdies, three bogeys, and a double bogey on the front nine.
After the turn, Rager had his struggles, with no birdies, two bogeys, a double bogey, and a triple bogey.
