
The UHA girls’ soccer team slipped to 8-5 on the year with a 7-2 loss at Greenwood on Thursday night. The Lady Blazers have lost two-straight and three of four, while the Lady Gators improve to 9-1-3 and have only conceded 12 goals all season.
Kate Cansler opened the scoring for UHA, with Grace Pape adding a second to tie the game at 2-2. The Lady Gators scored the next two to lead 4-2 at the break. Greenwood erupted for 5 second-half goals and held UHA scoreless over the final 40 minutes for the 7-2 victory.
The Lady Blazers will be back home at Givens Field when they host the 1-11-1 Mayfield Lady Cardinals on Saturday. UHA closes out the regular season with a big, 2nd-Region match-up with Madisonville-North Hopkins (12-2) on Monday.
