Caldwell County did something they hadn’t done all season – play a Saturday match on their home court. In fact, they played two of them and won them both.

The Lady Tigers rolled to a 25-18, 25-17, 25-15 win over Crittenden County in the day’s opener at the CAB. Coming into the match, Crittenden’s only loss to a region school was to University Heights in the All-A region championship.

Caldwell County is now 28-2 all-time against Crittenden County (17-3) and have won 20 straight matches dating back to 2006.

The Lady Tigers beat Hopkinsville 3-0 (25-9, 25-17, 25-17) in the day’s final match. Caldwell County was strong at the net and had an answer for Hoptown’s big hitters most of the match.

Caldwell County extended their winning streak over Hopkinsville to 18 games dating back to 2004 and leads the all-time series 19-9.

Caldwell County (15-6) will host Massac County, Ill. Tuesday at the CAB.
