The Christian County Lady Colonels have been playing some of their best volleyball of the season over the past couple of weeks. The problem Tuesday night was they ran into a Henderson County team that had found its groove as well, and was playing at a totally different level than it had been at the start of the season.
Henderson County rolled into Colonel Gym Tuesday evening and picked up their 10th consecutive win, knocking off Christian County in straight sets.
Henderson rolled through the opening set 25-14. Christian County fought the Lady Colonels from the north tooth and nail in the second set, before falling 25-22. Henderson then stepped on the gas pedal in the 3rd set, winning 25-14 to close out the match.
The loss drops Christian County to 8-14 on the season. They return to action in a huge 8th District matchup Thursday evening when they host UHA.
Henderson County now improves to 14-5.
