The Christian County Lady Colonels used a shutout performance to pick up their 7th win of the soccer season Monday evening. With their offense picking up steam in the second half, the Lady Colonels cruised past Paducah Tilghman 4-0 at the Stadium of Champions.
Leading only 1-0 early in the 2nd half, Christian County got things rolling in their direction, less than nine minutes into the second half, Emma Fleming found the net to push the Lady Colonel lead out to 2-0. Fleming would find the net again about 3 ½ minutes later to make the Christian County lead 3-0 at the 51:30 mark.
In the waning moments of the match, Autumn Bell struck for the Lady Colonels to seal the 4-0 victory.
Christian County improves to 7-5 on the season, while Paducah Tilghman drops to 3-6.
The seven wins for Christian County are their most since the 2014 season, when they finished 8-9-1.
