Trigg County dropped their first district volleyball match of the season with a 3-0 loss Thursday in Marion to Crittenden County. The Lady Rockets, who entered the match having lost 18 of their previous 19 matches to the Lady Wildcats, won Thursday 25-18, 25-16, 25-10. It was their first straight set win over Trigg since 2011.
Crittenden County (13-1) is off to their best start in school history. They now have the inside track at the top seed in the district tournament with two games left with Livingston Central and an Oct. 2 return date at Trigg County.
The Lady Wildcats (4-7) are 1-1 in district matches and will host Clarksville Northwest Monday.
