The Hopkinsville Tigers lost for the second time in three outings on Tuesday night, falling 7-1 on the road at South Warren. The Tigers now stand at 4-2, with the Spartans avenging a 5-1 loss to Hopkinsville last season to improve to 6-1-1 overall.
The Tigers’ lone goal was a penalty kick converted by Ryan Rousell in the 73rd minute. Xavier Bussell and Ethan Bailey both saw seven shots in goal for the Tigers, with Bussell allowing 3 and saving 4 and Bailey yielding 4 and stopping 3.
The Tigers open 8th District play on Thursday with a meeting with Christian County at the Stadium of Champions.
