
The weekend before the official start of the 2018-2019 basketball season will find one area team taking part in a high profile scrimmage event. The 2018 Zip Zone Classic recently announced a nine game lineup that will be taking place Saturday, November 24. The regular season in Kentucky begins on Monday, November 26.
The University Heights Academy Blazers, along with Top 100 prospect KyKy Tandy, will be taking part in the event. The Blazers will scrimmage Scott County at 2:45pm at a site that has yet to be determined.
Scott County lost to Covington Catholic in the 2018 state championship game. UHA lost in to Campbell County in the first round of the 2018 Sweet 16. Scott County is expected to return a roster that includes 7 seniors and six juniors, and will be a team expected to contend for the 2019 state championship.

5:35pm – Johnson Central vs Knott County
7:00pm – Pendleton County vs Chapmanville, WV
8:25pm – Sheldon Clark vs Greenup County
