A big night on the road Tuesday for the Lady Warriors from Heritage Christian. HCA traveled south to take on Franklin Road Christian and came away with a straight set win.

The Lady Warriors came out of the gate strong and rolled to a 25-7 win in the first set. A big part of the great start came off the serves of Allie Maternowski, who got things rolling on a streak of seven straight serves.

While Franklin Road Christian was more competitive in the second and third sets, the match was never in doubt. HCA won the second set 25-18, and then closed out the match with a 25-17 win in the third set.

Head coach Eldridge Rogers called the win the best match his team has played so far this season. The Lady Warriors were again sharp on their serves, with their service rate above 90-percent for the match.

HCA had 15 kills in the match, led by middle hitters Allie Schluckebier and Cami Nelson. In addition to her strong serves, Allie Maternowski also had 11 assists in the match.

The Lady Warriors improve to 10-4 and return to action Thursday at Clarksville Academy at 4:30.
