Todd County Central won their opener in the Fourth Region All-A Classic Saturday and gave Morganne Mullen her first win as Lady Rebel head coach in the process.
The Lady Rebels beat Cumberland County 2-1 (24-26, 25-13, 25-14) in the opening round game at Metcalfe County. After winning the opening set, Todd was able to cruise the final two sets.
Todd County dropped their quarterfinal match with Monroe County 2-0 (25-14, 25-23). Clinton County went on to defeat Metcalfe County in straight sets for the All-A Region title.
The Lady Rebels have dropped four of the six sets they have played that are decided by two points. Of their 23 sets played, 11 have been decided by five points or less which gives Mullen hope the Lady Rebels will turn the corner later in the season.
Todd County Central (1-6) travels to Trigg County Monday to face the Lady Wildcats.
