The Todd Central Rebels fell behind early and then ripped off 28 points in a row to pick up their first win of the season Friday night. The Rebels picked up the first win of Darrel Keith era by running past Fort Knox 28-6.
The game got off to a rough start for the Rebels, as they fumbled a punt early in the game after holding the Eagles to a three and out. Fort Knox converted the mistake into a touchdown and a 6-0 lead.
Todd Central responded scoring a touchdown on a 4th and eight to take the lead at 8-6 just over midway through the opening quarter.
The Rebels extended the lead early in the second quarter. This time it was Jaquavion Mimms taking it in from a yard out to put Todd Central up 15-8. That was the way the opening half would end.
In the second half, Jaquavion Mimms found paydirt for the second time, with just over two minutes gone in the 3rd quarter to make it a 22-8 game. The Rebels sealed the win when JaTwan Graham scored from the one to push the lead out to 28-8.
The win moves Todd County Central to 1-1 on the season. The Rebels will be on the road next Friday to take on Caverna.
