The start of the Darrel Keith era at Todd County Central did not go as scripted as Gavin Dowell hit J.J. Johnson for a touchdown pass with 23 seconds left to give Breckinridge County a 15-8 win over the Rebels Friday in Harned.
Todd County’s defense, which only allowed 18 points in their first four games last year, is again expected to be a strength of the team in 2018.
Breckinridge County, a Class 4A school, snapped an 11-game losing streak with the win.
Todd County Central looks to get into the win column Friday when they host Fort Knox in Elkton. The Eagles lost to Clinton County 52-6 in their opener.
