A tough start to the 2018 volleyball season for the Christian County Lady Colonels continued Friday. The Lady Colonels dropped a pair of matches during the opening day of the Apollo Summer Slam, in Owensboro.
The Lady Colonels battled Edmonson County down to the wire of the opening set in their match before falling 25-22. Edmonson County then came back and rolled through the second set 25-16 to take the match.
Christian County had a very tough start to their match against Central Hardin. Central got out of the gate quickly and never looked back, taking the set 25-6. The Lady Bruins then closed out the match with a 25-16 win in the second set.
The two lossed dropped Christian County to 0-5 on the season.
