Fans of Trigg County football games on Friday nights will hear a new voice as part of their radio broadcasts on WKDZ. Christian Christenson, a senior at Austin Peay State University, will take over play-by-play duties for the Trigg County broadcasts.
Christenson, a Kansas native who attended high school and played football at Rossview in Clarksville, has handled play-by-play duties for APSU football and basketball for campus radio. He also hosts a podcast with a Nashville TV reporter and has interned with the Tennessee Titans.
Long-time voice Scott Brown will continue to provide analysis from the field on broadcasts and coordinate pregame and postgame shows. The move will allow him to widen coverage of Trigg County football on YourSportsEdge.com through the use of video and photos.
Coverage of Trigg County football begins at 4:45 Friday afternoon as the Wildcats play Monroe County in the Scottie Bowl at Glasgow High. Games can be heard on WKDZ 106.5 FM and online at wkdzradio.com.
