Henderson County ruined the coaching debut of Hopkinsville’s Jessica Shepherd Tuesday by downing the Lady Tigers in four sets. The defending Second Region champion Lady Colonels won the first set 25-20 before Hoptown took the second 26-24. Hoptown kept it close in the final two sets but dropped them both by identical 25-20 scores.
Shepherd was coaching her first match as head coach of Hopkinsville after taking over for Brad Boyd over the summer.
Hoptown will play at Fort Campbell Monday in an Eighth District contest on post.
