A big day Sunday for former Hopkinsville Tiger Easton McGee. Pitching for the Hudson Valley Renegades, McGee gave up only two hits over six innings of shutout baseball Sunday afternoon, as the Renegades took the first game of a doubleheader of with the Aberdeen Ironbirds 1-0.
McGee allowed only two baserunners over the six innings, both on singles, and both would be erased by double plays.
With the win, McGee improves his record on the season to 5-3. McGee’s ERA is 6.04, with 29 strikeouts and only nine walks.
