Heritage Christian Academy began their volleyball season by going 5-2 at the Eighth Annual Volley Jam in Smyrna, Tennessee over the weekend.
HCA opened play Friday with a 26-24, 25-12 loss to Community High School of Nolensville, Tenn. On Saturday, HCA rallied to win five straight matches. They beat Lancaster Christian Academy (TN) 25-11, 25-11; Lighthouse Christian Academy (TN) 25-4, 25-14; Fayetteville (TN) 25-16, 25-19; and Covenant Academy (TN) 25-15, 20-25, 15-12.
The Lady Warriors got a rematch with Community High in the championship and fell 25-14, 25-18.
Head Coach Eldridge Rogers was pleased with the play of his team, especially Saturday when they had to rally to win five straight matches to get to the championship.
HCA (5-2) plays their home opener Tuesday against Lancaster Christian.
